What happens when I move out?

Moving out can be stressful, but it's super easy to update your information in LevelCredit.

If you are moving into another rental, you can add your new address to keep reporting your rent payments. Since the credit bureaus require a new tradeline on your credit report for each rental address, you'll need to first give us some information about your move-out.

Just login to your account and from the menu on your lease, give us your move-out details and we'll close your tradeline for your previous address with the credit bureaus since you're no longer making payments to that address it'll need to be closed for accurate reporting.

Your reported payments will be locked in on your credit report in good standing and will stay on your credit profile for 10 years. Once your tradeline is closed, we won't be able to report any more rent payments for your previous address (under the old lease).

As long as you keep your subscription active, you can always add your new lease information to continue building your payment history to get the credit you deserve!

Below are the instructions on how to initiate the move out process from your dashboard:

  1. Log into your LevelCredit account at www.levelcredit.com
  2. Under your "Rental" tab, click on the current Address you wish to close.
  3. On the right side of your Address there are 3 vertical gray dots, Click on the 3 dots.
  4. Select the option "Mark as closed"

This will walk you through the move-out process.

After you have done this you will be able to add your new rental address and the old address will be closed in good standing with the bureaus.
